My love of home design stems from my happiness growing up with my family. I remember telling my mum and dad that I would never leave, but was assured that one day I would want to create my own home. This is where my joy in creating beautiful, sociable and functional spaces which allow you to relax, unwind and enjoy life was borne.
My journey has led me from managing my family's steel business to being a proud mum of two AWESOME children (as described by themselves) and now onto working with my passion - interior design. I am a graduate of The British Institute of Interior Design, and heavily influenced by Hygge (hoo ga - the Danish way to live well) which is about creating a place of well being, connection, and warmth.
My design process is based on collaboration. Working in partnership to create practical and inspirational designs, which reflect you. A favourite piece of furniture or a beautiful fabric can provide the inspiration from which a whole room can be designed. Where possible I endeavour to mix existing furniture within the scheme to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
It's not just about wallpaper and cushions (although I have a deep passion, bordering on obsession, for these), its what they help create in a space. I strive to create that sense of feeling of serenity, through space that makes you feel rested, cosy and surrounded by the people and things you love. Furnishing your mind. heart and soul.
